Why? Because she’s basically the coolest kid in town. Born in Paris, Caroline de Maigret is the daughter of Count Bertrand de Maigret and granddaughter of Prince Michel Poniatowski (former Minister of the Interior and Health in France). She began her modeling career in 1994 and moved to New York shortly after, getting the chance to work with Steven Meisel, Mario Testino, Peter Lindbergh and Terry Richardson as well as walking for houses like Balenciaga, Chanel and Marc Jacobs.
After moving back to Paris, she founded the music label and production company Bonus Tracks with her partner Yarol Poupaud in 2006. She says to intothegloss.com “we made the label, then we fell in love. We did the label first.” You may have seen her around recently because in 2011 Karl Lagerfeld asked her to return to the runway for Chanel and she’s been in lots of campaigns and editorials since.
She says her beauty routine is pretty simple, as she tends to look very natural. She’s obsessed with mascara; it’s the only thing she really puts on a lot of every day, but loves to try anything that promises to make her look younger… even though she says it never works (oh please gurl).
