What can I say? Not really sure why I don’t live here. There really is something to everyone’s fascination with Paris and I still find it hard to believe that Parisians are just as enchanted by New York as we are with their fair city. I see a lot of similarities between the two, but of course, the grass is always greener… This time, at the recommendation of some amazing friends, we stayed in Montmartre and pretty much fell in love with the area. Coming from Brooklyn, we felt the same vibe in the neighborhood and had an amazing time exploring. With limited time, we skipped the major museums, walked a lot, and focused on taking in the city.
One of our favorite pass times is, of course, eating and we seem to have made a small Paris tradition out of our lunches by raiding the nearest Monoprix and picking a different spot every day for a picnic feast. On this particular day, it was at the Jardin des Tuileries, right on the edge and it was picture perfect.. except for the bees (of course, I’m not publishing the photos of me running away from them).
