It all started out innocently enough, a bunch of Canadian friends (and one American) getting together for American Thanksgiving. My husband is slowly becoming famous amongst our friends for the amazing deals he finds on flights and all things travel related (he’s basically obsessed at this point but hey, I’m not complaining). During dinner, travel plans came up and people started asking him how finds all these incredible deals – a demonstration quickly turned into a bunch of us furiously working to book everyone a seat on a flight before the deal expired at midnight (it was 11:50). The next morning I was in rough shape… and not sure if it had actually happened until I got a text from a friend… “so… I guess we’re going to the beach!” hahaha it was real. That week all I did was look at photos of the beautiful beaches we would get to spend the weekend on and it took about two seconds to get crazy excited. So, Friday night we were off to Trinidad and Tobago – none of us had ever been there before and I think we really made the most of our two days. Of course, we were a lot more active than any of us expected to be but that seems to be the way the vast majority of my trips go and we got to explore both Tobago and Port of Spain.
